The Gift – by Patrick Finley

Eyes open hands reach
a new day to each
Life springs from a dark void
Gods presence it does teach

Legs stretch , Arms open, a connection unbroken
A love that should be unspoken.
More then a choice, yet without a voice
Natures most vulnerable pleas, Yet Mankind fails to see

That which is right in front of their face,
A Gift only given by grace.

Understanding what lies before, a gift given to both
The prayer of one, the hope of another,
The bond between Child and mother.

So often thrown away, so often ignored. Known by the one, before he or she was made, Today, the voice that supports them is one
